Monthly Stats Review
Part of the mentoring that I paid for includes me getting a monthly stats review of the numbers that I collect daily.

Embarrassing Results
The monthly review comes directly from Dean Holland and he analyzes my statistics and he gives me insight as to my next steps for the coming 30 days.
My monthly stats review in September were rather embarrassing. Can you spot the error?
Not so embarrassing is my traffic profitability coming to a current $748.
But imagine my surprise when Dean exclaims, “One-hundred and ninety-three is not a dollar figure!“. Oops!
Tracing Down The Formatting Error
My commissions for the month were certainly favourable.
(yes that’s a Canadian spelling)
And I’ve maintained a conversion rate above 50% which is equally impressive.
But I wasn’t going to be happy until I corrected the formatting error identified by Dean during my Monthly Stats Review.
I started by viewing the formula for the cell which looked like this: =’Sept 23′!C33
There was no dollar sign there and I found no dollar sign in the actual cell of C33 in the sheet named ‘Sept 23’.
It wasn’t until I drilled down into the right-click context menu item named, “Format Cells…” did I find where the dollar format was set.
Good Form
It wasn’t until I changed the format to a number with zero decimal places that my MS Excel Spreadsheet appeared in good form.
My prior career had me looking at these minute details of formatting and I considered myself to be a top-notch reporting guy.
It was good to get this error corrected and while my marketing efforts appear to be in good form – there is much work ahead as that profit number is going down.
The wrong direction as far as I’m concerned but still I am only four months in.
It’ll still take another eight months to get me to where I want to be – but I believe I am in good hands and I am well on my way to achieving my goals to make money online as an Affiliate Marketer.
